Big Haunt
Big Haunt
When Lars Ballard met Lily Breshears [piano/vocals] and Jeff Evans [percussion/vocals] the three began an intensive collaboration that grew into Big Haunt's debut EP, Devotionals - a release The Portland Mercury called, "patient, black-edged music that's filled with both dread and beauty."

Lars began writing the first Big Haunt songs during the winter of 2012. His life, until that point, had seen him cast across the far corners of the US and the word at large. From his early childhood, spent mostly homeless living in minivans or half built mansions, to his teen years at a reform school in Western Samoa - Ballard's formative years were a study in the strange truths of poverty and uncertainty.

It is from these experiences that Ballard draws inspiration - churning his past into whisper-quiet fire incantations, murder ballads and hymnals for a false resurrection. Jeff's thundering percussion and vocals combined with Lily Breshears's incantatory piano and haunted soprano build with dynamism and color.

Old Wave
Old Wave
Old Wave is Adam Brock, Amanda Farmer, Abbey Hickman, and Barra Brown. They strive to create beautiful music through intricate arrangement, layered vocal harmony, storytelling and dynamics.

Old Wave will release their self-titled debut album January 15th, and it will be available for free download. This show will be the album release party!

The band came together when Amanda Farmer heard one of Adam's songs on the radio and approached him about adding her voice and keyboard talents. Adam knew drummer Barra Brown through the jazz scene and met singer/keyboardist Abbey Hickman shortly after she moved to Portland from Boston. The four quickly became close friends and started performing in the spring of 2013.
