And And And
This is not a band that is worried about looking super-hip and being part of the scene. Pretentiousness is a great fear of theirs. honesty is an ambition. They play music that is at once earnest and orchestrated yet out-of-control and off kilter. Their songs range from lo-fi garage pop to folksy ballads with clarinet or trumpet. Their live shows have been known to become sweaty booze soaked singalongs. Band members have injured themselves on stage (or by jumping off the stage) and have been known to be disoriented and half naked at times.

People might like us because we are everyday misfits who happen to have a pretty interesting band. We do look like a mashup of punky, grungy typical Oregon Coast dudes (Nathan still lives part time in his, Ryan's, and Jon's hometown of Reedsport.) And in a general sense, we sound like a modern rock and roll band with guitars and drums and stuff. We try to convey a focused intensity and honest emotion when we play, not finesse and presentation.
Rasheed Jamal
Rasheed Jamal
Rasheed Jamal produces a transformative brand of music based mostly on his experiences growing up in Central Arkansas then moving to the Pacific Northwest as an adult. His music represents the vast spectrum of thought and innovation that his generation represents. He also manages to acknowledge his roots while pushing the envelop with each release.

His latest project SANKOFA is at times upbeat with an aggressive energy that also speaks on social matters with the casual eloquence of an old soul weary with worldly matters. With the growing buzz and success of SANKOFA, Rasheed Jamal says that he is pushing forward to make sure he accomplishes the mission of not only finding his own voice, but helping others find their own voice as well.
Bevelers
Bevelers
Adria and Lee met while working at a coffee shop together called Vivace in Portland, OR. It was there that their friendship blossomed musically! Lee Aulson, 25, writes, sings and plucks guitar strings in Bevelers. Just 3 weeks after she graduated college in May 2011, she boarded a Greyhound bus in Boston, MA and headed west. She has committed herself to simply, making art [post-art school]. During her time she explored drawing, performance art, event production and her primary study, Art Education. Adria Ivanitsky likes puns and chocolate milk. In Bevelers she sings, plays guitar, piano horn and glockenspiel. Originally from Salem, OR, she has experimented with a variety of different instruments starting at the age of 4! Together they wear many hats!
