Everything's Coming Up Simpsons
Come see what Matt Groening himself dubbed, “The best Simpsons podcast,” and for good reason. Comedians and writers Allie Goertz and Julia Prescott know their stuff as they bring equal parts ‘Hell yeah’ and heart to their chats about the best TV show ever made. Each week, they go into a deep dive of their guest’s favorite episode and how it made them the person they are today. Past guests have included Weird Al, Dana Gould, Simon Rich, Mike Scully, Nancy Cartwright, and yes — even Al Jean (THAT Al Jean). Their last live show included special guest CM Punk and a stage serenade to a lucky audience member. What will their next live events include? Only one way to find out. Smell ya later.
Feat. Special Guest Bill Oakley
Bill Oakley is an American TV writer, best known for his work on The Simpsons. Along with his writing partner Josh Weinstein, whom he met when he was 14, Oakley was the executive producer and showrunner during the seventh and eighth seasons. Before serving as the show's executive producers, the pair were hired onto the writing staff during the fourth season. Together, the two wrote episodes such as "Who Shot Mr. Burns?". After leaving The Simpsons, Oakley and Weinstein created Mission Hill, The Mullets, and served as consulting producers on Futurama.
"Woo Hoo! Classic Simpsons Trivia"
Classic Simpsons Trivia takes place every 3rd Monday of every month at White Owl Social Club and is produced and hosted by Adam Smith and Shannan Hunt. It’s free to play and prizes are given to the top 2 teams and sometimes other teams for various reasons. The trivia has been going for 2 years and was nominated for Best Trivia Night in this years Willamette Week Readers Poll. The trivia only asks questions from seasons 1-9 (the golden era) and plays classic episodes every month chosen by members of the Facebook group.
