ABOUT THE OK CHORALE
The OK Chorale started as a drop-in community pop chorus open to anyone 21+, from shower crooners and rocked-it-in-my-garage band tenors to experienced singers who like to hang out, socialize, and sing in an informal setting. Started in 2016 by producer Kate Sokoloff (founder, Live Wire! Radio) and music director Ben Landsverk (Wonderly) as a one-time singalong at OMSI in response to the death of David Bowie, OKC has grown to into a community of over 1,000 interested participants who attend the twice-per-month drop-in singalongs at Portland’s Revolution Hall bar or larger thematic shows at Mississippi Studios. It's larger purpose is to rid the world of singing shame.
