Miss Rayon
Miss Rayon
Eric Sabatino (Vexations, Cat Hoch, Appendixes) - guitar, vocals
Jenny Logan (Deathlist, Summer Cannibals, Sunbathe) - bass, vocals
Hannah Blilie (The Gossip, Shoplifting, Vexations) - drums

Portland, Oregon’s Miss Rayon was started by Eric Sabatino as a solo recording project, but soon after putting the finishing touches on a three-song demo, Sabatino recruited bassist Jenny Logan and drummer Hannah Blilie to form a fully fledged trio. Between them, the members of Miss Rayon have done time in The Gossip, Summer Cannibals, Vexations and Deathlist, among others. Residing somewhere on the spectrum between New York no wave and UK post-punk, Miss Rayon’s sound is a squirrely and sidewinding thing. One can hear traces of Sonic Youth and Magazine in the band’s recordings, but there’s nothing nostalgic about Miss Rayon. This is music for a dark future in which dreams break into real life and dance parties descend into madness. Miss Rayon will soon release a two-song seven inch, after which they will begin working on a full length album. Until then, you'll find them on tour--a west coast trek is in the works, and there are plans for trips abroad. Stay tuned.
