The Kingsmen put Portland on the map and popularized the greatest garage rock anthem of all time, “Louie, Louie.” After all these years The Kingsmen are still at it and we are beyond thrilled to welcome them to Nuggets Night as our honored guests. The evening revs up and gets down with Portland’s truest believers paying tribute to garage, psych, pop, bubble gum, soul and more.
This year's beneficiary is 95.1 KISN FM - Portland’s real oldies radio. Started in 1959, KISN has broadcast the likes of The Kingsmen, Paul Revere & the Raiders, The Sonics, The Wailers, and many of the great NW bands back when the bands were brand new. KISN is now listener-supported and they need our help to keep the airwaves of Portland filled with good times and great oldies.
