covid19-2020

Updated – May 12th, 2020

Dear Friends and Live Music Fans,

First, tickets to postponed and unaffected shows in the future are still ON SALE HERE. The first ‘show’ we have listed is a donation campaign for our furloughed staff. 100% of proceeds will be directed to keeping our company health plan in place for all enrolled & affected employees and their families.

Second, you can help keep us flying by ordering gift cards or merchandise at our online store.

Third, Bar Bar is serving its full menu for take-out or delivery  – open daily 12pm – 8pm. Click here to order.

The word unprecedented has been thrown around a lot lately, but here we are. In light of the Governor’s closure declarations surrounding the COVID19 pandemic, we have made the unprecedented decision to reschedule all shows thru July – and many beyond that as touring artists have been affected as well.

We are prioritizing the well-being of our fans, the artists, our staff and our entire community. We are working hard with artists and artist management – around the clock – to bring everyone back later this year or in 2021.

If you’ve purchased a ticket for a Mississippi Studios or Polaris Hall show that has been affected by a COVID19 TBD postponement, reschedule, or cancellation, you will receive an email on or around the affected original show date with further information after we have completed discussions with the show’s promoter, the artist, and/or artist management. We promise our team is working diligently to contact all ticket buyers as quickly as possible, but we do ask for your patience. And thank you in advance for it.

Our venues plan to reopen for shows when allowed and when it is safe to do so. And for now, Bar Bar is take-out and delivery only – 12pm-8pm. From a distance, come get a burger or salad.

To be completely transparent: the concert industry, like so many others, will face tremendous difficulties navigating the economic impact of this pandemic. Gathering places, such as music venues, depend on travelling artists and their assembly of fans.  Musicians and the staff who produce the shows and work the bars will be among the hardest hit. We are committed to doing everything humanly possible during this complicated time to protect our fans, our staff, and the larger Portland community we love.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and support during these… unprecedented times. and we can’t wait to get back to what we do best.

The show will go on. Bar Bar patio season will be back. the red music box we love so much will re-awaken in song. Tahoe Jackson will again mischievously smile upon the artists on-stage.  Vegan sandwiches, burgers, T-ravs, and salads will prevail.

ROCK ‘N ROLL IS HERE – TO STAY.

Please stay well in the meantime, we will see you soon or even tomorrow, briefly, from a distance, for delivery or take-out.

Sincerely yours,

–Team Mississippi Studios & Polaris Hall
