Mel has been called a Genius and a freak, after starting her professional musical career at 16 years of age. Mel has been an Independent artist for 20 years and possesses a relentless mind of creativity. Working as an international touring/ recording musician, in theater, television, and as a highly respected session player. She has released over 14 independent albums on various independent labels, and has been a guest musician on countless other Independent releases. She has supported artists like Micheal Frante, Bruce Cockburn, and the Neville Brothers, and has been nominated and received many awards for her work as a musician, multi instrumentalist, songwriter, vocalist, video maker. Mel is probably best know for her work as a songwriter, vocalist and horn player in Australian band Fruit. She has appeared at countless music Festivals (with Fruit) all over the world including WOMAND USA/ AUST/ GERMANY. Bumbershoot, Bethlehem Music Fest, Canmore, Winnipeg, Falcon Ridge, Vancouver Folk, Oregon County Fair, San Diego Street Scene, Owen Sound, Hillside, California Music Fest........

She is innovative, unique and shares an endless well of creativity with other artists and fans alike. Mel's style is diverse drawing on many diverse influences, her performance is inspirational, using her breathtaking musicianship to share new ideas with an infectious sense of joy. Using the structure of her songwriting and the freedom she has as an improviser, Mel creates a unique and stirring performance every time.

Jen Todd has been a member of the Laura Love Band for the past 6 years, and is one-half of the outrageous Laura Love Duo, touring the U.S. and Canada and trying to stay out of trouble. Occasionally, Jen has the great-fortune of joining Catie Curtis on-stage, adding harmony vocals and such. She has shared the stage with many wonderful musicians.
